Born from a photograph of a red canna flower at a Hanoi flower market, captured by Designer Diego Cortizas at close range. Through his signature kaleidoscope process, the image was folded and mirrored across itself until the flower became a pattern, printed onto lightweight fabric that resists creasing and travels well. Reversible, with the kaleidoscope pattern on one side and the original photograph on the other.

Care
We recommend a cold, delicate cycle, preferably in a mesh laundry bag, with a mild detergent. Reshape gently and allow to air dry naturally.

The story
HANOI RED CANNA
Born from a photograph Designer Diego Cortizas took at a flower market in Hanoi. In the early morning, women arrive at Quảng Bá on bicycles piled with the day's flowers, and the market becomes a wall of color before the sun is fully up. Somewhere inside that wall, he found a single red canna, hoa dong riềng đỏ, and stopped in front of it. He photographed it from an inch away, so close that the flower stopped being a flower and became color, shape, and shadow. He believed the more directly you photograph a place, the less of it you actually capture. He brought the image home and put it through his signature kaleidoscope process, folding and mirroring it across itself until the last outline of the petal disappeared into pattern. What remained is the memory of the flower. A photograph is a record of a place. A kaleidoscope is a record of the experience of being there.
