Size
A column of hand-stamped geometry runs from the halter neckline to the hem of this floor-length gown, made of diagonals, stripes, and stepped lines pressed onto silk with carved wooden blocks and traced by hand in fine embroidered stitches. Fitted through the bodice and falling in a clean line to the floor. Cut, stamped, and finished by hand at the Hanoi atelier.
Care
We recommend a gentle hand wash in cold water with mild detergent. Reshape while damp and allow to air dry naturally.

The story
SPINAL GEOMETRIES
A single column of pattern runs the length of the gown, from the halter at the throat to the hem at the floor. Diego drew it as a spine, the body's line of structure and grace, rendered in geometry: diagonals meeting at angles, stripes in opposite directions, stepped shapes stacked in sequence. The pattern is printed in in mộc bản thủ công trên vải, the Vietnamese technique of hand-stamped textile printing. Wooden blocks, carved by a local woodcarver, are inked at the atelier and pressed onto the silk by hand, then traced in fine embroidered stitches. Because every press is made by hand, no two columns fall exactly the same. Fitted through the bodice and falling clean to the floor, the gown is quiet everywhere except at its center. The pattern does the work of ornament and architecture at once. Designer Diego Cortizas.
