Lanterns in the colors of the Hội An festival drift across the shoulder of this blouse, each one hand-stamped with a carved wooden block and outlined in fine embroidered stitches by the artisans of the atelier. Cut from Dui, a light Vietnamese silk that falls softly against the body. Stamped, embroidered, and finished by hand at the Hanoi atelier.
Care
We recommend a cold, delicate cycle, preferably in a mesh laundry bag, with a mild detergent. Reshape gently and allow to air dry naturally.

The story
FLOATING LANTERNS
On the nights of the Hội An festival, hundreds of small paper lanterns are released onto the Thu Bồn River, drifting downstream in slow, unbroken color. Families gather along the water to watch them go, each lantern carrying a wish for the year ahead. This blouse carries that moment. Each lantern on the fabric is drawn twice. First, a wooden block, hand-carved by a local Vietnamese woodcarver and inked at the atelier, is pressed onto the silk. Then a second pass by hand traces the outline in fine embroidered stitches, giving the lantern its lift. The fabric falls softly against the body and catches the color the way water does. A blouse that carries a river's worth of small wishes, worn easily through the day.
