Legal Terms and Conditions
Last updated 7 September 2026
These are the terms you buy under, and the promises we make about what we send you. They are written to be read, not to be got past.
Who we are
Chula Fashion is a design house registered in Vietnam under business registration number 0102396294, at No. 4, Lane 416, Alley 22 Lac Long Quan Street, Nhat Tan Ward, Tay Ho District, Hanoi. You can reach us at admin@chulafashion.com or on 024 371 011 02.
In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Chula Fashion; “you” means the person using this website or buying from it.
These terms
They govern your use of this website and any order you place through it. Buying from us means accepting them.
We may change them. The version that applies to your order is the one published on the day you ordered, and the date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed. We will not change the terms of an order you have already placed.
Using this website
The photographs, drawings, text, prints and patterns on this site are ours or are used with permission. The prints in particular are original artworks, painted and carved by hand for this house. You may not copy, reproduce or use them commercially without our written permission.
You may of course share a link, save a picture for your own reference, or print a page for yourself.
What we sell
Every piece is cut, sewn, painted and embroidered by hand in our Hanoi atelier. Hand-painted silk varies slightly from metre to metre. Woodblock impressions sit a little differently on every piece. Embroidery carries the tension of the hand that made it.
Two pieces of the same design are never identical, and that is the point of them. Photographs show a representative piece, not the exact one you will receive, and colour also depends on the screen you are reading this on. These variations are not faults and are not grounds for a claim under the warranty below — though they are, like anything else, grounds for a return within the return window.
Orders and the contract
Placing an order is an offer to buy. Our confirmation email acknowledges that we have received it; the contract forms when we send the piece.
We may decline an order — if a piece is no longer available, if we cannot verify payment or the delivery address, or if a price or description was wrong. If we decline after you have paid, we refund you in full.
Prices, duties and taxes
Prices are shown in the currency you have selected and include Vietnamese VAT where it applies.
Orders shipped outside Vietnam may attract import duty and local tax on arrival. Those are set by the destination country, are not ours to collect or waive, and are payable by you. Our carrier will tell you what is owed before delivery.
If a price is obviously wrong — a decimal in the wrong place — we will tell you before we ship and you may cancel.
Payment
We take payment when you order, through Shopify Payments, PayPal and the wallets shown at checkout. Your card details go to the payment provider, never to us.
If a payment fails or is reversed after a piece has been sent, we may ask for the piece back or for payment by another means.
Delivery
We ship worldwide from Hanoi. Times, costs and carriers are on the Delivery & Returns page.
Delivery estimates are estimates. Customs can hold a parcel and weather can ground a plane, and neither is within our control. If a piece is materially late we will tell you and you may cancel for a full refund.
Risk in a piece passes to you on delivery.
Cancelling and returning
A piece can come back within thirty days of arriving, unworn, unwashed and with its tags attached. How to do it is on the Exchange & Returns page.
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union you also have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance purchase within fourteen days, for any reason. Our thirty-day window is longer and is offered in addition — it does not replace or reduce that right, or any other right you have under the consumer law where you live.
Made-to-measure and altered pieces are made to your body and cannot be returned unless they are faulty. We will say so clearly before you commission one.
Our warranty
We warrant the making of every piece for twelve months from the day it reaches you. That covers manufacturing defects — seams that open, fastenings that fail, embroidery or applique that lifts from the cloth, hardware that breaks in normal wear.
It does not cover ordinary wear, accidental damage, or anything altered or repaired outside our atelier. Nor the marks of hand-work described above, which are not faults.
To claim, write to client services with your order number and photographs showing the whole garment and a close view of the fault. We will tell you within three working days whether it is covered and where to send it. Send nothing before you hear from us.
We repair. A piece that leaves this atelier can come back to it, and the artisan who made it is usually the one who mends it. Where a repair is not possible we replace the piece; where we can no longer make it, we refund it in full. We cover carriage both ways on a covered claim.
This warranty is in addition to your rights under consumer law and takes nothing away from them.
Repairs outside the warranty
We repair our own pieces for as long as they last, warranty or not. Write to us with the same photographs and we will quote before any work begins.
Alterations are 20% of the garment price.
Most warranty claims begin with washing. Each piece carries its own care instructions and the Care Guide explains the cloths we use. Following them keeps this warranty intact.
Our liability
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses.
Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Your personal information
What we collect and why is set out in our Privacy Policy. What we store on your device, and how to change it, is in our Cookie Policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Vietnam, and the courts of Hanoi have jurisdiction.
If you buy as a consumer from the United Kingdom, the European Union or another country whose law gives you mandatory local protection, that protection still applies to you and nothing here removes it.
