Size
Layered edge to edge with hand-stamped symbols in every color, from figures of Vietnamese folk print to characters of Sino-Vietnamese tradition and motifs gathered from further afield. Cut from Dui, a light Vietnamese silk that lets the color sit softly on the surface. Stamped, embroidered, and finished by hand at the Hanoi atelier.
Care
We recommend a cold, delicate cycle, preferably in a mesh laundry bag, with a mild detergent. Reshape gently and allow to air dry naturally.

The story
FEVER OF STAMPS
Every inch of this blouse carries a stamp. Round Thọ characters, square panels of Sino-Vietnamese script, figures from Vietnamese folk print, mythological creatures, and symbols gathered from further afield are pressed by hand with wooden blocks, in one color after another, until the whole fabric hums. Each block is carved by a local Vietnamese woodcarver, inked at the atelier, and pressed onto the silk in sequence. Some symbols overlap, some sit apart, some crowd against the seams. Every blouse comes out slightly different from the last, and no two carry the stamps in exactly the same order. The base is Dui, a light Vietnamese silk with a natural texture that lets the color sit softly on the surface. Fine embroidered stitches finish the V-neckline and the cuffs, a quiet frame around a garment that doesn't whisper.
