Size
An emblem of black geometric shapes sits at the chest of this warm ochre dress, echoed again in a smaller composition at the hem. Chevrons, diagonals, and stacked lines are hand-stamped onto the linen with carved wooden blocks and traced by hand in fine embroidered stitches. Cut from Dui with a right-leg slit. Stamped, embroidered, and finished by hand at the Hanoi atelier.
Care
We recommend a gentle hand wash in cold water with mild detergent. Reshape while damp and allow to air dry naturally.

The story
SUN MASK
At the chest, an emblem. Black lines gather into the shape of a mask, geometric and symmetrical, the kind that would sit at the entrance of a doorway or above a fire. Chevrons stack inside chevrons, diagonals meet at the center, and at the base of the shape a single line reaches down toward the hem, where the emblem repeats in miniature. Each line is pressed onto the linen by hand, using a wooden block carved by a local Vietnamese woodcarver, then traced by hand in fine embroidered stitches. Warm ochre linen holds the whole composition, the color of sun-baked earth and late afternoon. The right leg opens in a long slit for the walk. A dress that carries an image at the chest and lets the pattern move across the body with every step.
