Vietnam´s endless markets and fabrics sparked an unexpected passion for the young couple
Soon, Diego began designing clothes for Laura that reflected his passions and interests.....clothes with a sense of humour!
Chula was born! In spanish, chula means something cool....something different......
2005
The particularity of our designs was combining simplicity in shape with radical and funny designs.
By a twist of faith, we were introduced to a talented tailor who was hard of hearing and a non-verbal communicator. unable to speak vietnamese, we found it easier to communicate through sign language. we continued hiring them and quickly grew our workshop
in the next years we continued to grow, not only as a business but as a community.....

Laura and diego are awarded the spanish medal of civil merit by the kind of spain for their work in bridging the vietnamese and spanish culture.

Diego passed away, leaving behind a legacy of light, creativity, and kindness.
