Born from a photograph Designer Diego Cortizas took on a fire escape in New York, of a glass door holding the reflection of another New York building, cut through by iron railings. Through his signature kaleidoscope process, the image was folded and mirrored across itself until it became a pattern of concentric circles and vertical bars, printed onto lightweight fabric that resists creasing and travels well. Reversible, with the pattern on one side and the original photograph on the other.

Care
We recommend a cold, delicate cycle, preferably in a mesh laundry bag, with a mild detergent. Reshape gently and allow to air dry naturally.

Free shipping over $300, and free within Vietnam. Otherwise $10–$20 flat, shown at checkout.
Orders are processed in 3–4 working days, then 3 days within Vietnam, 4–7 to the UK and Europe, 5–8 to the US, Canada and Australia. Tracking is emailed when it ships.

The story
NEW YORK IRON
Born from a photograph Designer Diego Cortizas took in New York. He was there for a fashion shoot, and somewhere between takes he turned around and photographed a glass door beside him. What he caught wasn't the door. It was the reflection of another New York building held inside the glass, cut through by the black iron bars of the fire escape railings. A reflection inside a reflection, framed by iron. He believed the more directly you photograph a place, the less of it you actually capture. He brought the image home and put it through his signature kaleidoscope process, folding and mirroring it across itself until the reflected building, the glass, and the iron became a single pattern. A photograph is a record of a place. A kaleidoscope is a record of the experience of being there.
